The Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority, a public benefit corporation created under the laws of the State of New York, is seeking sealed bids for the collection of solid waste and recyclables in the City of Utica. Sealed Bids will be received by the CONTRACTING OFFICER of the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority until 3:00 PM, November 3, 2017, and then publicly opened and read for:
COLLECTION & HAUL OF GARBAGE AND RECYCLABLES (CITY OF UTICA)

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on October 16, 2017 at the office of the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority, 1600 Genesee Street, Utica, NY 13502.
A deposit in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid submitted is required. This deposit shall consist of a bid bond or a certified check payable to the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority. Failure to submit bid bond or certified check will result in automatic disqualification of bid.
Bids must be submitted upon the proposal form(s) furnished, and must not be detached from the specification book.
Packages containing bids must be sealed and marked:
“Bid No. 17-06 Collection & Haul of Garbage and Recyclables (City of Utica) and addressed to: Contracting Officer, Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority, 1600 Genesee Street, Utica, NY 13502.
The Authority reserves the right to revise or amend the specifications prior to the date set for the opening of the bids. Such revisions and amendments, if any, will be announced by Addenda to this advertisement.
The Authority reserves the right to reject all bids received.
The Authority reserves the right to perform a portion of, or all of, the required work if it is deemed to be in the Authority’s best interest.
