The New York State Association for Solid Waste Management (NYSASWM) membership has re-elected William Rabbia, Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority Executive Director, to serve a second term on the executive committee of the NYSASWM Board of Directors as President.
James Biamonte, Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority Environmental Coordinator, was also re-elected as a Board member and is a former president of NYSASWM.
NYSASWM is New York State’s oldest and largest statewide solid waste organization with a mission to promote efficient, effective and environmentally sound solid waste management practices in New York State through the training, education and evaluation of technologies. Since its inception in 1975, NYSASWM has worked with solid waste managers throughout New York State toward its mission. NYSASWM currently has over 300 members.
“Through the Association, the Authority has been able to work with its counterparts across the State to have a unified voice in Albany and to foster information sharing and education and training opportunities”, stated Rabbia.
