Green Back-to-School Tips

 

As the summer nears an end, many students and parents are preparing for the upcoming school year. Back-to-school season is a great time for a fresh start and the perfect opportunity to implement the three R's — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

 

Easy ways to make your school year more green:

  1. Inventory your supplies before buying more.

  2. Reuse half-filled notebooks, partially used pens, pencils, etc. from previous years.

  3. Opt for products with less plastic, and buy locally instead of paying for shipping.

  4. Thrift for gently used items at discounted prices. 

  5. Pack zero-waste lunches.

  6. Bring a reusable water bottle.
